• I got the keys to my cafe last night!!! I am so excited about this, I’m hoping that it will be the start of something good for me – it will be great to not have to answer directly to anyone at least. There is sooooooo much to do though, I need to find at least one member of staff and despite advertising there has yet to be any interest! Today I’m getting a gang of people around to help with the redecoration as it is pretty grotty and then a few days of work on details before we fling open the doors on Thursday!!

  
  

  Thanks for everyone’s kind thoughts about the Boyf. He is still very ill and the hospital have made him take another HIV test ‘just in case’. He has lost so much weight – this bloody cryptosporidium seems to have set up home in his guts! I have him taking Aloe Vera and Iron supplements at the moment as he is also quite anemic (sp?). We are both being positive and keeping our fingers crossed that he’ll be ok. It’s funny but in a way this illness of his may have saved our relationship as we were drifting apart and spending less time together as a result, we still spoke on the phone every single day but it was different when we were together. Because of his illness I go to see him after I finish my part time teaching job, I try to get him to eat and we just laze about on the sofa watching TV and chatting. I have to say though that I’d rather have him bouncing about in his crazy way again – even if it meant that we weren’t together.

  
  

  Oh, and it’s our fourth anniversary on Thursday – no one is more shocked than I!!
