Wow! It’s been a crazy couple of days with very little sleep at all! I’m happy to report that the cafe has done really well over the last two days and word of mouth seems to be spreading already. We have taken a grotty, smelly and decidely unhygenic space and turned it into a cafe that people are pleased to use. The previous regulars have not stopped commenting on the decor, the quality and quantity of the food and the pleasant staff, so it seems that we are going to be ok. I doubt that this is going to make me a millionare but with plenty of continued hard work I’ll be building something I can be really proud of.
The boyf, seems to be getting over his bout of infection and a second test confirmed that he is HIV negative so that’s great. I don’t wish to tempt fate but I think he’s going to be okay.

A Cafe? Sounds like a great place….. wish I could visit it, but you are so far away.

Hope that one day I can pop down to Birmingham to have a look…maybe even do some dishes for you if need be
