Thanks for the kind messages of concern, it was really kind of you all. I thought I should keep you all informed.
Good news! My mother left hospital today, she seems to be healing really well and the doctor is hopeful that she shouldn’t need to go back in. I know my mum is glad to be out. i just hope that she will take some time out from running around after people, she needs to put BOTH feet up for a while!!
The Boyf.’s mother was continuing to do well when he last phoned home. He has actually had to return to Birmingham as he has to save his ‘bereavement leave’ in case he should need it after all. The company he works for allows two whole days for him to recover from the death of a child or a parent! How generous!! I wonder if it’s only in the UK that this kind of thing happens? No wonder so many of us are dreaming of a life on the mainland, preferably in the more laid back South. I know I do anyway. So we are still playing a waiting game at the moment. She was actually out of bed when the Boyf. visited her yesterday before he went for his plane. She is still hooked up to her oxygen – for as long as she does live that won’t change. It’s too early to think that she is ok but at least, as I’ve said before, she has had a chance to see all her children and to know that she is loved and that can’t be bad can it?!

2 days?! That is terrible!!! They give us up to 2 weeks max at the Uni.
Glad your mum is better. Thanks for the book tip. Will check it out.
