  I´m on holiday in Gran Canaria – yes again!
  I have a sore head today and it is through alcohol but indirectly. I was coming home from the Yumbo  Centre (which is where all the gay bars, clubs and cafes are) last night when two Spanish guys started messing me and the boyf. about culminating with me getting a full whisky bottle bounced off my head. the cowards waited till we were walking away from them and then they ran off! Luckily for me the bottle didn´t break and did just bounce off my head but I do have a sore head today nonetheless. I was upset of course but more angry than anything else.

  
  

  I don´t want to let it put me off coming here again but it will not be this particular week again for sure as it is carnival week which translates into an open air piss up for the locals with five´- I kid you not´- different sound systems in the yumbo car park playing five differnet sounds all at the same time till 5.00am! There seems to be no regard for the tourists who keep this island alive – I´d be at my wits end if I had kids I was trying to get to sleep!

  
  

  
  All in all it is okay though. I am enjoying the sun and today it is 23 degrees and blue skies which is a whole lot better than chilly England. Remind me though to check the dates of the carnival before I book again!!
