FINALLY I have an internet connection in my office at school! I’d like to say that it will mean that I’ll write something every day and win back my readers but I doubt it, I really do. I guess my life is just too dull.
I’m due to become moderately wealthy later this month when my half of the equity in the ill-fated house purchase with my friend comes to me. I get £21,000 – sounds great but I cannot spend it on chocolate, gin, heroin, and rent boys as I use to think I would! I have to be sensible… I guess!
Isn’t it an annoying little trick that when you’re a kid you think to yourself, “when I grow up and have job and money I’m going to buy loads of sweets and lemonade” then when you do grow up and you have the cash you longed for you realise that a diet of chocolate and sugary drinks will mean you probably won’t make it to retirement age! If I do make it though I have promised myself all of the above treats, though I bet there will be another impediment! Wouldn’t it be great if we all got a second chance on the merry-go-round of life? First time round be as debauched as you like and the second time be virtuous – just in case!

Well done on the windfall. Invest it wisely – the majority as an ISA and some for holidays.
