Sad symmetry
Ten years ago today Fintan came into my life – I walked into the Dog’s Home in Birmingham and there he was.
At around 12pm today he died.

You’ll carry him forever in your heart and memories. You took him in and loved him and he loved you. Nothing anyone can say can take the pain of your loss away, I know, but take comfort from the ten years you had together and from the joys you brought into each other’s lives.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I think I’d rather lose relatives than suffer the loss of a beloved pet.
Thanks for your comments – It is hard and I still keep expecting him to trot to the door to greet me when I come home or get up in the morning. I can’t even go to our beloved Ormeau Park at the moment as I know I’ll get upset when I meet our doggie pals there. It will get better and easier I know. x
